Females

Females are the cornerstone of our operation.

At Telemon, we run approximately 150 Registered Females; mainly bred from our herd, though we do select outstanding females out of the 3000 head commercially accredited Droughtmaster herd run within our operation to register as D2s on occasion.

Females are constantly culled to ensure they are of high enough quality to remain in the herd. Cows must raise a weaner calf each year to remain in the stud program, without exception. Our females must possess feminine physical traits corresponding to fertility.

We expect our females to possess good maternal qualities, such as correct udder conformation and good milk production, even temperament, and protective instincts.
